The remote didn't match the description in the instructions, and most of the buttons seemed not to do anything at all. My wife noticed right off that the color values were off, as well as being over saturated. Meanwhile I was trying to get the remote to work. There were also controls on the side of the frame, but they seemed to switch the display language to Chinese, which required a restart to get out of. I returned it.
The first frame I received was defective and didnt work, (it was sent to me just with a plastic see tru wrapper with a shipper attached on the outside) so after numerous calls my son in law made to different people, we were able to get a replacement from the company that made it. So far it seems to be working good, I am not to impressed with the color of the frame itself though
The operation manual is not very well written and it could have more detail. I have purchased two of these frames now. Once I figured out that all the programing is done with the remote, I had no problems. They are nice looking frames and they have a great picture. Nice to have some internal memory. I have not loaded any music or movies yet so I can't tell you about that. I am very happy with picture display and will most likely purchase more for the rest of my family.
I purchased six of these frames for Christmas gifts. Picture quality is OK Not as crisp as on your computer screen but to my recipients, it was good enough.,(mind you that they were all age 60+) Overall it's a decent frame for the money but it failed to meet my expectations. Still don't know why either.
I am reasonably computer savvy but it still took me some time to figure out how to put the photos on the frames internal memory. Well silly me.while you can upload music you CANNOT have music play while viewing pictures. I didn't want to spend a fortune on 10" frames so I settled for this one.
Another thing that bugged me was that it was advertised as having the capability to play music also. One I figured it out it went fairly smoothly until I tried to add more pictures from Christmas day. For some reason, it wouldn't let me add any.
That was a bit of a bummer. You get what you pay for.
Unfortunately, there were several red stuck pixels on the display in the middle of the picture. I'm returning this unit, but TheFactoryDepot charges return shipping of course. Ordered the Smartparts 10.4-inch digital frame directly from Amazon several weeks ago. So, they offered to replace this through a third party, TheFatoryDepot, even making up the difference in shipping costs. Though this frame looks good, they obviously have manufacturing problems. Ug. This time blue stuck pixels near the middle of the display.
Most of these frames have mediocre reviews, except for this one and the Sony. Received the product a few days later and set it up. I had been looking for a digital picture frame for over two years. Called Amazon and they handled the return, though they didn't have any in stock. Amazon is first class. The unit from the TheFatoryDepot arrived in a few days, and then.you guessed it, more stuck pixels. The Sony is way overpriced, so I chose the Smartparts 10.4-inch digital frame. So I'm posting this review so that other buyers don't make the same mistake.
